2018 Ford F-150: Performance and Capability

The new 2018 F-150 is available in seven trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, Raptor, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. Throughout the seven trim levels, there are five engine options:

  • Standard 3.3-liter TI-VCT V6 engine that produces 290-horsepower
  • Available 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that produces 325-horsepower
  • Available 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that produces 375-horsepower
  • Available 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 395-horsepower
  • Available 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 Raptor engine that produce 450-horsepower
When properly equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine, the new F-150 offers a best-in-class towing rating with up to 13,200 pounds and best-in-class payload with up to 3,270 pounds. How is the new F-150 able to achieve such high numbers? Every new 2018 F-150 is constructed with a high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy body that makes it 700 pounds lighter. That weight is then redistributed into the high-strength steel frame, making it stiffer, stronger and more durable.

2018 Ford F-150 Interior and Technology

The 2018 F-150 is available in three cab styles: regular, SuperCab and SuperCrew Cab. Depending on which cab you choose, the F-150 offers comfortable seating for between three and six passengers, with each trim level offering more of the high-tech features and amenities to make your life on the road easier. The SYNC 3 infotainment system now comes with available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, allowing you to seamlessly connect your mobile device and make the F-150 your own mobile office.
